Federal and state laws are more stringent for Schedule III-V drugs than non-controlled medications. If you want to order schedule III � V medications, you must follow the steps as follows:

  • You can transfer your schedule III-V drugs one time. We do not fill schedule II medications.
  • If you transfer to our pharmacy, you cannot take it back to any other pharmacy.
  • Now, we accept schedule III � V prescriptions from Michigan and its bordering states (Wisconsin, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and Minnesota) prescribed by MD or DO.
  • We cannot accept a faxed prescription for a Schedule III-V drug. You can mail in your prescription or ask your doctor to call your prescription into our pharmacy at (866) 499-1940.
  • All prescription orders for Schedule III-V drugs will require a signature on delivery.

Chemical Name: PENTAZOCINE (pen-TAZ-oh-seen) and NALOXONE (na-LOX-one)

Common uses
This medicine is an analgesic combination used to treat or prevent moderate to severe pain. It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.

Before using
WARNING: Take pentazocine w/naloxone only by mouth. Severe, possibly fatal reactions (e.g., blood clot of the lungs, body sores) can occur if injected or used with other habit-forming substances. INFORM YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking. Inform your doctor of any other medical conditions, allergies, pregnancy, or breast-feeding.

Directions
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. STORE THIS MEDICINE at room temperature in a tightly-closed container, away from heat and light. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF THIS MEDICINE and you are using it regularly, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.

Cautions
DO NOT TAKE MORE OF THIS MEDICINE or take it more often than recommended by your doctor. Exceeding the recommended dose or taking this medicine for longer than prescribed may be habit-forming. BEFORE YOU HAVE ANY MEDICAL OR DENTAL SURGERY OR EMERGENCY TREATMENT, tell the doctor or dentist that you are taking this medicine. AVOID ALCOHOL while you are using this medicine. This medicine will add to the effects of alcohol and other depressants. DO NOT DRIVE, OPERATE MACHINERY, OR DO ANYTHING ELSE THAT COULD BE DANGEROUS until you know how you react to this medicine. Using this medicine alone, with other medicines, or with alcohol may lessen your ability to drive or to perform other potentially dangerous tasks. BEFORE YOU BEGIN TAKING ANY NEW MEDICINE, either prescription or over-the-counter, check with your doctor or pharmacist. FOR WOMEN: IF YOU PLAN ON BECOMING PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using this medicine during pregnancy. IT IS UNKNOWN IF THIS MEDICINE IS EXCRETED in breast milk. IF YOU ARE OR WILL BE BREAST-FEEDING while you are using this medicine, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.

Possible side effects
SIDE EFFECTS that may occur while using this medicine include drowsiness, dizziness, flushing, lightheadedness, sweating, weakness, dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, or constipation. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience blurred vision or other visual disturbances, difficulty urinating, or mental or mood changes. CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY if you experience confusion; hallucinations; fainting; fast, slow, or irregular heartbeat; seizures; severe or persistent dizziness or drowsiness; severe or persistent headache or vomiting; or shallow, slowed, or difficult breathing. An allergic reaction to this medicine is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, or trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.

If you take too much
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include cold and clammy skin; coma; seizures; severe drowsiness or dizziness; severe muscle weakness; slow heartbeat; slow, shallow, or difficult breathing; or very small pupils.

Additional information
DO NOT SHARE THIS MEDICINE with others for whom it was not prescribed. DO NOT USE THIS MEDICINE for other health conditions. KEEP THIS MEDICINE out of the reach of children. IF USING THIS MEDICINE FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME, obtain refills before your supply runs out.
