Sudafed PE Day and Night Cold Relief Caplets
- Pain reliever-fever reducer, Nasal decongestant, Expectorant and Cough suppressant.
Temporarily relieves these symptoms due to the common cold :
- Fever.
- Minor Aches and Pains.
- Sore Throat.
- Nasal and Sinus Congestion.
- Chest Congestion.
- Cough.
Contains 4 medicines : Acetaminophen, Phenylephrine HCl, Guaifensin and Dextromethorphan HBr.
Nighttime Cold Pain reliever-fever reducer, Nasal decongestant, Antihistamine. Temporarily relieves these symptoms due to the common cold

Daytime Cold:Acetaminophen 325 mg - Pain reliever/fever reducer. Dextromethorphan HBr 10 mg - Cough suppressant. Guaifenesin 100 mg - Expectorant. Phenylephrine HCl 5mg - Nasal decongestant.
Nighttime Cold Acetaminophen 325 mg - Pain reliever/fever reducer. Diphenhydramine HCl 25 mg - Antihistamine. Phenylephrine HCl 5mg - Nasal decongestant.
Inactive Ingredients:
Daytime Cold: camauba wax, croscarmellose sodium, FD and C yellow 5 aluminum lake (tartazine) as a color additive, FD and C yellow 6 aluminum lake, hyproxypropyl cellulose, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, polysorbate 80, pregelatinized starch, titanium dioxide.
Nighttime Cold Camauba wax, comstarch, FD&C blue 1 aluminum lake, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, polyvinyl alcohol, sodium citrate, sodium starch glycolate, talc, titanium dioxide.
DIRECTIONS:
Adults and children 12 years and over: take 2 caplets every 4 hours; do not take more than 12 caplets in 24 hours.
Children under 12: Do not use this adult product in children under 12 years of age; this will provide more than recommended dose (overdose) and may cause liver damage.
WARNINGS:
Do not take these products together. Do not take more than a combined total of 12 caplets of these products in a 24-hour period.
Sudafed PE DayTime Cold and Cough: Alcohol warning: If you consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day, ask your doctor whether you should take acetaminophen or other pain relievers or fever reducers. Acetaminophen may cause liver damage.
Sore throat warning: If sore throat is severe, persists for more than 2 days, is accompanied or followed by fever, headache, rash, nausea, or vomiting, consult a doctor promptly.
Do not use: with another product containing acetaminophen; if you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric, or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you do not know if your prescription drug contains an MAOI, ask a doctor or pharmacist before taking this product.
Ask a doctor before use if you have : Heart disease, High blood pressure, Thyroid disease. Diabetes, Trouble urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland. Persistent or chronic cough such as occurs with smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema. Cough that occurs with too much phlegm (mucus). When using this product do not exceed recommended dose.
